day 3 of lj: phones and emotions

So, yesterday I was proud of myself: I wrote a difficult email, and I took care of a problem around the house.

About two hours later, I got a phone call... from the person I emailed. Who had not yet read my email, so I had to repeat everything to her. Which was the thing I was trying to avoid in the first place. Sigh.

Anyway, she agreed that we could take out the annoying condition in our agreement that I was worried about, which was good. But I'm annoyed that I didn't take care of it in time to avoid the phone call. (I hate phone calls.)

I got more sleep last night. That helps. Unfortunately, Jess didn't, so she's cranky, and when she's cranky, I'm cranky.

I did finish the Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Brothers: Brawl yesterday. I think that I only have to do another thing or two to finish unlocking all the characters, which is nice.

My solution is to look at my phone and then fail to answer it. That way I don't have to deal with talking to people on the phone. At my current job I don't even have a phone, they seem to be using MagicJack to divert calls to personal cellphones. Good luck with that, no one has tried to set me up with one and I'm not planning to ask.

That would have been my approach as well; Jess picked up the phone in this case, and handed it off to me, so that strategy failed :)
